Happy PurrDay with Stamp AnnieThing

Hi Friends! I have another card I am sharing today on my blog as well as the Stamp AnnieThing blog.
I needed a quick clean and simple Birthday card for my friend who is an avid Cat lover. I went through my collection and found Brittney - Purr and knew she would be just perfect or should I say PURR-fect for what I had in mind.
I coloured Brittney with Copic markers and fussy cut her out. I knew I wanted to make a window card, so I ink blended some Twisted Citron Distress Ink overtop of a stencil to make her really pop.
For the sentiment, I die cut out the word "Happy" and placed some striped pattern paper behind it. I stamped the word "Purr" from the stamp set and then added the word "Day" after for a fun play on words.
To finish the card, I adder a paw print diecut as well as some sequin and nuvo drops.

I hope you liked my card creation
Until next time - Stephen

Girls Night with Stamp AnnieThing

Hi Friends! Its my day to post over on the Stamp AnnieThing blog. For todays creation, I made a card featuring two super cute images available at Stamp AnnieThing.
I love making scene cards and I love being able to mix and match different images to create dynamic scene cards. For this card I used Paige - Girls Night as well as Holly - Sweet Dreams
I coloured them both with Copic Markers and fussy cut them out.
To create the background, I raided my pattern paper collection and found two perfect pieces that I could use for the wallpaper as well as the floor for my scene. My room needed a window to help set the scene,  so I took advantage of a window die cut I had and then ink blended a night sky. To finish the card off I added white details with my white gel pen.

I hope you like my card!

Stamp AnnieThing October Release - Day 3

Hi and welcome to Day #3 of
Stamp Anniething's October Release!

Sofia is available in the store Today along with the other 2 stamps we showed you  this week!!
`~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

The card is a big departure for me...its super distressed, messy and ummm...not really me...BUT, I love how it turned out. Its never a bad thing to try new things and go outside your comfort zone - its actually very rewarding and I hope you really like it.
I started off by dusting off my never used Colour Bursts to create an almost firework like background. I then placed a rose stencil overtop and haphazardly added some roses using Black Soot Distress ink. Next I did the unthinkable...I crumpled it up and even ripped tares into it. I unfolded it and added more Black Soot Distress Inks. I grabbed some black ribbon I've had laying around for years and stapled it near the bottom of the card. I added a few sequins because it wouldn't be one of my cards without sequins :)
I stamped Sophia with Momento Tuxedo black ink as well as a number of the small roses and then coloured with Copic markers. I fussy cut everything...even creating a rose crown for Sophia using the roses.

I hope you like my card and don't forget to head over to Stamp AnnieThing as the October release is now LIVE!

Until next time - Stephen

Stamp AnnieThing October Release - Day 2

Hi and welcome to Day #2 of
Stamp Anniething's October Release!

Eloise will be available in the store Friday along with the other 2 stamps we showed you  this week!!
`~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

I played around with a number of mediums to create this very cool textured card. I started by creating the sunburst background using a stencil and Distress Oxide inks...I am really loving those Oxide inks. I then diecut out the mountains as well as the Torii gate and added some gold gel pen accents. To create the foreground, I started by blending gold and bronze Nuvo Mousse directly onto some white card stock. I then pulled out my Tim Holz texture paste and added some champaign Gelato medium to the texture paste to tint it, then applied the texture paste using a stencil.
Eloise was coloured with my Copic markers and Fussy cut out. To finish off the card, I added a few gold sequins to help draw your eye across the card.

See you tomorrow for the last preview of the Stamp Annie October release.

Until next time - Stephen

Stamp AnnieThing October Release - Day 1

Hi and welcome to Day #1 of
Stamp Anniething's October Release!

Lorelei will be available in the store Friday along with the other 2 stamps we showed you  this week!!
`~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

I am so excited about this months release. I started off by colouring  Lorelei with Copic markers. I then fussy cut her out.
To create the background, I used my Twinkling H2O watercolours and just spread them on the watercolour card stock and let them do their thing. I added multiple layers of watercolour until I got the look I was looking for.
I die cut out the foliage and quickly coloured them with my copic markers.
For a finishing touch, I added some Nuvo Drops around her feet and sprinkled prill beads all over it to give the look of pollen.

See you tomorrow with another preview of the October SAT release.

Until Next Time - Stephen

My "No Line Colouring" Adventure

Angelica Angel by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps
So this past Saturday I had the pleasure to attend a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps event in Cambridge Ontario Canada. I had so much fun hanging out with my crafty friends, learning new techniques and going outside my comfort zone. One of the things that had me super pumped about this event was that Melanie Holtz was teaching one of the classes. If you haven't heard of her, you seriously need to look her up...her colouring is absolutely outstanding and no one can do no line colouring like this girl can!

Melanie demonstrated no line
colouring on a projector so we
could colour along with her

can you spot me?!

If you have never heard of no line colour before, you basically stamp your image in a very light ink. In this case, the image was stamped with Memento Dessert Sand ink. Once the image is stamped you use your dark and light colours to make the lines disappear. I have included a number of photos of the entire process of me colouring this image. I think it is super fascinating...but I am a marker nerd

Once the image was completed, I decided I was too nervous to try and fussy cut her out after all the time I spent colouring her. So I created a heaven cloud background using Copic markers. I kept my card layout very simple as I wanted the focus to be on my coloured image.

I hope you like my card as much as I do. If you are wondering about the image, it isn't available yet...Kim said it is coming out in the next 2 weeks -sneak peek for you :)

Until next time - Stephen

Full Moon Halloween Scene

Hi Friends! Stephen here to share a card I created using Kelly - You're Purrfect
I decided to create a fun full moon scene, just PURRfect for Halloween.

I started by masking off my card with Eclipse Masking tape, creating a rounded hill and a circle for the full moon. I then Ink Blended each section using various Distress Inks. I added black Distress ink to add extra depth. I coloured the Moon with my Copic markers to add some extra detail. I then added some small dots in various sizes using white gel pen to create the look of twinkling stars.
I coloured Kelly with Copic markers and fussy cut her out.
To Finish my card off I added a Halloween sentiment, some gold sequins as well as some gold gel pen glittery stars to help create movement in my card.
I hope you like my card and we will see you on Wednesday when release week kicks off for Stamp AnnieThing.

Until Next Time - Stephen
